He Proposed YOU said YES!!!! And with that one action, a brand‑new journey begins, not just a wedding, but the start of a shared mission for two individuals who are about to embark in the Journey of Life.

After 17 years capturing weddings and nearly 27 years of marriage, Macky and I, the husband‑and‑wife team behind Jac&Mac Photography, want to share something much deeper than just photography to our readers and prospect couples. We want to share why weddings fascinate us, and more importantly, why marriage matters to us, why it is a blessing, and yes… why it can and WILL be hard.

In a world where the economy, security, success, and the hope to achieve in these realms appear slim, it is here where Marriage, built correctly, Marriage, when built correctly, becomes the vessel that carries two people through every storm, every threat, every obstacle life throws their way.

What kind of ship are the TWO of YOU going to build?

You see, for us, Marriage is a vessel, a ship, where a wedding is simply the Christening of your vessel, a Man and a Woman becoming One, as they set their vessel of Marriage to sail the Sea of Life!!! Where YOUR vessel goes, how far it goes, what it will do will depend on the CHOICES the TWO of you make, as ONE.

So, if Marriage is a vessel, a ship, the question to ask yourselves is, what kind a ship are WE going to build?

· Will you build a Marriage Cruise Liner: just pleasure, and leisure, just going port to port

partying?

· Will you build a large Marriage Cargo ship: simply carrying someone’s else’s load?

· Or, Will you build a Marriage Warship: mission driven, combat and weapons ready,

embassy representative, and fun port stopping marriage?

Regardless of which you CHOOSE, the Sea of Life is the same for ALL!!! Uncertain, sometimes calm, sometimes stormy, hidden obstructions, sometime lonely, sometime heavy traffic, and yes, even pirates and enemies!!!!

Whatever you choose, remember this:

The Sea of Life is the same for everyone.

Calm days. Stormy nights. Hidden obstacles. Lonely stretches. Heavy traffic. And yes… even pirates and enemies.

Your Marriage ship must be ready.

As YOU both have decided to build YOUR Marriage vessel, regardless of the kind YOU build, ALL Marriage vessels must HAVE:

· A Captain and an XO!! How well you communicate, coordinate, and trust each other

determines the direction and destiny of your vessel in the Sea of Life. Eventually as

YOU build YOUR vessel, YOU will gain a crew (YOUR children), these too, will affect your vessel.

· A ship requires an Engine room!!!! This is YOUR career, business or, as in our case,

both!!!

· Fuel- Money- for without it, YOU ship won’t leave the pier, much less go anywhere in

the Sea of Life.

· Finally, whether you are leaving port or entering a new destination, YOU need a Pilot.

In our case, for Macky and I, Jesus is OUR Pilot. With charts ready, radars and systems up, mission set, we call upon OUR Pilot to guide us, whether we are entering or leaving a channel in or out to sea, or when getting ready for battle, we our Marriage is a

Warship, mission driven, going where WE have Never gone before!!!
